Past Projects: Family – Helping Sima's family in Iran
Sima believed that together, she and Arnold could improve the lives of her family in a direct and lasting way by supporting their education and giving them the freedom to leave Iran. Arnold was thrilled just to have the chance to help Sima’s family in such a meaningful way.

In 2002 Arnold and Sima arranged to bring 10 of Sima’s family members to Switzerland as visitors. This was only the second time for Sima to see her family since she left Iran in 1985.
Sima's sister arrived in Canada, January 2003.
In January 2003, one sister successfully entered Canada followed by a brother in March 2004. Also in 2004, another sister graduated from university in England and the third sister was accepted into Malta on a student visa. In 2005 this sister transferred to a university in New Zealand.
